4th Conference on Cyber Warfare: National Critical Infrastructure Protection, Rome June 19th 2013

The National Infrastructures (‘NI’) include a wide range of environments from: banking and finance, telecommunication, transportation, power and energy to an extensive variety of national and local services, e.g.: health, emergency, security and municipal services.  Moreover, national infrastructures are also contains governmental and military systems up to confidential grounds.   

The National infrastructure composes physical and cyber elements, together and embedded one into another. The NI cyberspaces are Information technology (IT) systems and networks which are the prime key for the NI daily activities (control, management and operations); National infrastructures are complete controlled by IT systems, exchange information over cyber network and maintenance by IT systems.

Since the National Infrastructure exists in cyber environments, their flexibility, effectiveness and usability are very high, though the NI much more vulnerable and exposed for IT security risks, industrial espionage, logical aggression and cyber terrorism.

Furthermore, NI supports military platforms, intelligence services and homeland security; henceforward - those NI might be involved in military conflict and be affected by state-level cyber intelligence.

The 4th Annual Cyber Warfare Conference will focus on National Infrastructures Defense - high expert knowledge to exchange and top professional discussion to take place;
