Short Biography: 

He received the laurea degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Ancona, Italy, on 1983 and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1994 from University of Bologna, Italy.

From 1984 to 1986 he was with the "Ugo Bordoni" Foundation, Rome, Italy, engaged in research on continuous speech recognition. From 1986 to 1987 he was at Italian Ministry of Communication. At the same time he has been also a free researcher at the Department of Electronics and Automatics - University of Ancona – Italy, where from 1994 to 1997 he was assistant professor.
From 1998 to 2004, he was Associate Professor at the Department INFOCOM - University of Rome "La Sapienza"
Form 2005, he is a Full Professor at the Department of Information, Electronic and Telecommunication of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” where he is teaching Neural Networks, Circuits and Algorithms for Signal Processing and Digital Processing of Multimedia Signal.
He his author of more than 150 papers in the field neural networks, optimization algorithm, signal processing, intelligent signal processing, blind separation, etc.
Prof. Uncini is co-founder and member of the Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee (IEEE Signal Processing Society), and is co-founder and member of the Blind Signal Processing Technical Committee (IEEE Circuits and Systems Society).
