Claudia Volpetti (Rome, 1980) is actually working as a Research Fellow at the University of Rome “Sapienza” with a particular focus on complex systems analysis by applying the System Dynamics methodology.  She has a degree with honors in Computer Science Engineering with Major in Business Administration and two Postgraduate Certificates in K12 Computer Science Education and Physics Education. In 2006, at the beginning of the Digital Television Transition, she provides, using a prototype decoder, brand new guidelines for Usability of Digital TV Interfaces vs ISO9241 Web Design Usability guidelines by her project degree developed for Mediaset and Publitalia. Her final Post-Graduated projects are “Application of Human Computer Interaction principles on Pedagogy”, “E-R Diagram for Children with special needs”, “How to introduce the Theory of General Relativity to K12”, “Introducing Thermodynamics to K12 through House Energy Efficiency: case study Agenzia per l'Energia Alto Adige”. At the age of 25, she has been working as Project Manager for Siemens, Poste Italiane and Consorzio Elis. From 2006 to 2008, she has been working as Sales Account Manager at Hewlett Packard.  She won a prize as the best young Sales Account Manager for the last quarter of 2007. She has been teaching from 2008 to 2014. The reading of System Dynamics K-12 Education papers introduced her to the SD methodology.  As a researcher, she is now working on the design of a model on Migration Flows to Europe and on an Evaluation of Costs and Impacts of a preemptive shut down of Public Transit. In her free time, Claudia Volpetti is an illustrator and web designer. She attended courses at School of Comics for Illustrators, IED European Institute Design of Rome and Central St. Martin's Art College of London. She is one of the founders of Casale Volpetti/Artists in Residence, a project that promotes new forms of hospitality and reception, according to the “Artists in Residence” approach.
