The CIS Advisory Board plays a crucial and important role: providing unfettered, objective advice to the CIS Board of Directors about its strategic plans, vision, research, and educational programs and priorities. CIS Advisory Board also monitors the progress of the center towards objectives.
Board meetings occur at least once per year. The board is comprised of at most eight among the key players in the cyber security field from the academia, industry, utilities and government bodies. Each member serves on the board for a (renewable) term of three years. Currently the CIS Advisory board is the following:
